What our support includes, how it works, and our mutual commitments.
Version 1.3, updated 22 October 2026 (6 min read)
These terms govern the international study support services provided by MBM Travel Gate S.A.R.L.: guidance, admission, immigration procedures (Campus France, CAQ, I-20), visa, housing, settling in and follow-up.
The support is offered in three packages: Essential, Premium and Excellence. The exact content of each package is set out in the document "Définition des formules d'accompagnement" (definition of the support packages), provided before signing and attached to the support contract (Annex 1). The Packages & Services page provides a summary of it; in the event of any difference, Annex 1 applies.
Each package includes a costed scope : up to 3 institutions supported in Essential, 6 in Premium and 10 in Excellence. The fees cover a destination ; opening an additional destination, like any institution beyond the package's cap, is subject to a additional quote accepted in writing.
The amount of the fees is given in a personalized quote provided before any subscription, then included in the support contract. A commercial discount may be granted after negotiation; it is not automatic, except for the welcome offer described below, and the combined discount and referral bonus may not exceed 15% of the fees.
Welcome offer : a discount on the fees of the chosen package, of 10% from 1 January to 31 July and 5% from 1 August to 31 December, on presentation of the code for the current period shown on the website. The client gives this code to their advisor before the quote is drawn up, which must happen before the end of the period; the code is only valid for its period. One welcome discount per client; combined with any referral bonus, the total discount does not exceed 15% of the fees (contract, art. 8.4); the amount is shown in the quote and in the contract.
The third-party fees are never included in the fees: consular fees, institution and Campus France application fees, certified translations, tuition fees, transport and insurance remain the client's responsibility.
The service begins after signing the support contract and payment according to the agreed terms. The contract specifies the package, the scope, the deadlines and the obligations of each party.
The contract enters into force when it is signed by all parties. It ends when the services of the chosen package are completed: for Essential, upon confirmed admission or at the end of the application campaign for the target intake; for Premium, upon the decision on the visa application; for Excellence, at the end of the three-month follow-up after arrival.
Whatever the package, if no admission is obtained by the end of the application campaign for the target intake, the contract ends on that date. Support may be deferred to the following intake only by written amendment, which sets out its conditions.
In the event of any conflict between the support contract and any other document of MBM Travel Gate, including these terms and the pages of the site, the contract prevails.
Accepted payment methods: Mobile Money (Orange Money, MTN Mobile Money), bank transfer, card payment or cash against a signed receipt. Each payment gives rise to an invoice.
Fees are expressed in CFA francs. Payment is made in two installments : 75% on signing of the support contract, which allows the actual start of the file, then 25% within 15 days following confirmed admission. For the Premium and Excellence packages, this second installment is paid before the visa application is started. If no admission is obtained, the second installment is not due. The corresponding amounts appear in the personalized quote and the contract.
In the event of late payment, MBM Travel Gate sends the client a written formal notice. If payment is not made within the following 8 days, the services may be suspended until the situation is regularized. No interest or late payment penalty is applied.
MBM Travel Gate undertakes to provide professional, rigorous and transparent support, and to optimize your file in compliance with official procedures.
By extension, and whatever the package chosen, MBM Travel Gate guarantees neither theaward of a scholarship, which is decided by the funding body, nor theobtaining a specific accommodation, which depends on the local market, nor the processing times of institutions and consulates. The introduction to the local community, included in the Excellence package, takes place subject to the network's availability in the destination city.
Access to the digital services MBM CV and MBM Platform is governed by the terms of use and privacy policy specific to each of these services. The MBM CV tool is identical in all three packages; only the level of intervention by MBM Travel Gate advisors on the documents varies, as described on the Packages & Services.
The client undertakes to provide accurate information and the requested documents on time, a necessary condition for the smooth running of the support.
The submission, by the client, the beneficiary or their guarantor, of a falsified document or a false statement allows MBM Travel Gate to terminate the contract immediately, in writing. The fees then remain earned in proportion to the stage reached, according to the scale in Annex 2 of the contract; MBM Travel Gate refunds any difference and reserves the right to claim compensation for the loss suffered. MBM Travel Gate does not submit any application or transmit any document that it knows or suspects to be falsified.
Right of withdrawal. The client has a period of 15 days from the signing of the contract to withdraw, without having to give a reason. The client gives notice of this decision in writing (email to contact@mbmtravelgate.com, letter or the withdrawal form attached to the contract). MBM Travel Gate then refunds all sums received within 15 days following the notice, using the payment method used by the client, unless otherwise agreed.
If the client asked, before signing, for the services to begin before the end of the withdrawal period and then withdraws, the refund is reduced by the value of the services already performed at the client's request, calculated according to the scale in Annex 2 of the contract.
Termination by the client. After the withdrawal period, the client may terminate the contract at any time, in writing, with effect from the date on which the request is received. The fees remain due in proportion to the stage reached on that date. The scale of fees earned per stage, for each package, appears in Annex 2 of the contract provided before signing. MBM Travel Gate refunds the difference between the sums paid and the fees due within 30 days following the termination.
Termination by MBM Travel Gate. MBM Travel Gate may terminate the contract, in writing, in the event of a falsified document or a false statement (article 7), of non-payment persisting 15 days after the formal notice, or of a prolonged lack of cooperation after a written formal notice that has remained without effect for 15 days. The fees then remain earned according to Annex 2 of the contract and any difference is refunded.
Refusal of admission or visa. A refusal of admission or of a visa is not in itself a ground for a refund, provided that MBM Travel Gate has performed its commitments with diligence. In that case, the second installment is due only if an admission has been confirmed. Support may be deferred to the following intake only by written amendment, which sets out its conditions.
Third-party fees. They are not refundable by MBM Travel Gate and are returned only if the organization concerned refunds them itself.
MBM Travel Gate is bound by an obligation of means, not of result. Each party is liable for the consequences of its own failures, under the conditions of the applicable law.
MBM Travel Gate is not liable for decisions made by institutions, consular authorities, funding bodies or landlords, nor for the consequences of inaccurate information or a non-authentic document provided by the client or the beneficiary. The limits described in article 6 concern the nature of the service: they do not limit the liability of MBM Travel Gate in the event of fault in the performance of its own commitments.
Force majeure. No party is liable for a delay or a failure to perform caused by an unforeseeable, irresistible and external event (natural disaster, armed conflict, border closure, death or serious illness of the beneficiary, or an event of the same nature). Performance of the contract is suspended for the duration of the event. If it lasts more than 60 days, each party may terminate the contract in writing; the fees are then settled according to Annex 2 of the contract and the difference is refunded.
Complaints. Any complaint must be sent in writing to contact@mbmtravelgate.com. MBM Travel Gate acknowledges receipt within 3 business days and gives a reasoned reply within 15 days.
Dispute resolution. In the event of disagreement, the parties seek an amicable solution for 30 days. The client may also, where applicable, refer the matter to the appeals committee competent in consumer matters or seek assistance from a consumer association. Failing agreement, the dispute is brought before the competent courts of Cameroon. The contract contains no arbitration clause.
Applicable law. These terms and the support contract are governed by Cameroonian law, including OHADA law where it applies, and in particular by Framework Law No. 2011/012 of 6 May 2011 on consumer protection. In case of doubt, the contract is interpreted in the way most favorable to the client.
Language. The support contract is drawn up in French and in English, both versions having equal value; in the event of a discrepancy, the version most favorable to the client applies. For the pages of the site, including these terms, the French version is authoritative; the English pages are a translation of it.
